Support and Advocacy
As a member of the multidisciplinary rehabilitation community in Calgary since 1989, Braceworks has acquired an extensive knowledge on a broad range of programs and services available for people with disabilities that we’d like to share with you. Following is a list of links to agencies and organizations that you may find useful in improving the outcome of your treatment.
Calgary and Area Child and Family Services - Family Support for Children with Disabilities (formerly Resources for Children with Disabilities) provides supports while they are awaiting a diagnosis and by ensuring access to information and services across the province.

Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta collaborates with community agencies/ organizations to advocate on behalf of individuals with cerebral palsy. CPAA delivers programs and services, educates and provides information on treatment and resources relating to cerebral palsy in the province of Alberta

Premier's Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities is responsible for listening to the concerns of the disability community, and communicating these concerns to members of government. Although the Council does not provide any programs or services directly, they have information on programs and services offered by federal, provincial and municipal governments, non-profit organizations, and other agencies, and can refer you to the program or service provider that would best meet your needs. Contact the Premier's Council if you would like to voice your concerns about disability-related issues.
