Children’s Rehabilitation Program, Alberta Health Services
The Children’s Rehabilitation Program supports children, youth and their families enhance their participation in identified roles and activities. Services support children and youth who are not achieving their full abilities, either due to an impairment or an environmental limitation.
Supports tend to focus on children and youth who show a developmental delay, physical limitation, or have a medical or neurological limitation. Areas include speech and language development, fine and gross motor development, environmental adaptation, support for adaptive equipment, support for feeding concerns.
Services offered to children from birth to 18 years:
- assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- child/family teaching and support
- coordinated planning in cooperation with family, teachers, and community partners
- ongoing support to help children reach their potential
