Virtual Programs! Our FREE Online Programs have officially opened for December registration and we have room for you! There is something for all ages and abilities each day of the week.
We also have support groups and fun ways for teens to connect across the province. Our Programs Team has been working hard to provide the best programming so no one feels left out. Come join us!
| Countdown to Christmas |
| CPAA is inviting everyone (kids, families and adults) to join us in our Countdown to Christmas online events. Every week, starting November 28, we will be hosting a different virtual activity!
November 28, 10:30am – Christmas Karaoke Events are open for all ages, young and old, who want to get into the Holiday Spirit! Hosted on Zoom- event details will be sent out once registered. Cost $0.00 |
| Cha Cha Boogie – Zumba (December) |
| Ages 0-18 Mondays from 4:30-5:30 pm Last class will be December 21 Hosted on Zoom- event details will be sent out once registered. Cost $0.00 |
| Participants provincewide are encouraged to have fun and be physically active. They will learn new skills as they attend and participate in several different dance styles taught by the Zumba Instructor. Zumba dances are chosen and modified for all ability levels. |

| Music empowers participants with self-expression and increased self-confidence, in this music therapy program, participants gain the opportunity to learn new songs, sing, and dance along with the music. The supportive, warm atmosphere of this program provides a safe space for participants to make their own sound, and has been shown to increase self-confidence. |
| Fun Expressions (December) |
| Ages 0-18 Thursdays 4:30-5:30 pm Last class will be December 17 Hosted on Zoom- event details will be sent out once registered. Cost $0.00 |
| Participants provincewide are encouraged to have fun and be creative. They will learn new skills as they complete each project. Projects are chosen and modified to utilize materials that they already have at home or that are easily accessible. |
| Boogie Shake – Zumba (December) |

| This introductory gentle movement yoga class is designed to assist with healing body and mind and provides the opportunity for participants to explore Yoga in a non-competitive and supportive environment. Clients increase mobility and manage stress by stretching their muscles in this class. |
| Alberta Meet-Up Group (December) |

| This virtual meet-up will keep participants connected from the comfort of their homes. Topics discussed will change weekly depending on the participants interest. These meet-ups can include game night, talent show, virtual tours of museums, art galleries etc. |

| Learn the basics about computers in a supportive environment. The ComputAbilities class is for anyone who wants to learn how to use basic Microsoft Office programs as well as the basics of social media. No previous experience required! |

| Fun Connections provides the opportunity for adult’s province-wide to get together to experience a variety of activities, including a game day, presentations, sports and other activities that are of interest to the group! |
| Parent Support Group – ALL AGES (December) |
| For parents of children with disabilities Thursday from 6:00-7:00 pm Last class will be December 17 Hosted on Zoom- event details will be sent out once registered. Cost $0.00 |
| Our support group for parents of children with disabilities will create a safe space for the participants to discuss their experiences with raising children with disabilities. Weekly discussions with our social worker and other parents will help answer questions that participants might have, and help by providing resources to navigate through this unpredictable time. |
| Virtual Visit – Mondays 10am |
| Clients will be matched with volunteers to meet once a week via ZOOM. This program is created to address isolation and loneliness during pandemic. By creating virtual companions with volunteers, supervised by Support Services, both are offered: companionship and, should an issue or crisis arise in the person’s life, a social worker readily to access further supports. Through this program, we could also offer the opportunity to create a connection with any family members who may be struggling with the lack of supports resulting from the pandemic, to offer navigation, advocacy or support. |
