The transition from children’s services to adult services for youth with disabilities and/or ongoing health care needs often presents significant challenges and barriers. Parents, caregivers, and individuals with special needs have many questions as this transition journey begins.
The goal of the 15th Annual Transition Fair is to share information about the transition resources available in Calgary and the surrounding area. A variety of agencies, organizations, and associations will be at the Fair to answer your questions and provide information.
There will be presentations about PDD (Persons with Developmental Disabilities), AISH (Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped), and Guardianship–Trusteeship from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. These presentations will provide participants with an overview of these programs.
Unfortunately there will be no time for individual questions at the presentations. However, before and after the presentation, representatives from these programs will be stationed at their booths in the main hall to answer any questions you may have.
