NEW Bracing Clinic for adults with complex conditions. Conditions include nerve injury, burns, spinal cord injury, stroke, myopathy brain injury, cerebral palsy, sports injury, or inflammatory arthritis.

This program provides services for adults with acute or chronic musculoskeletal or neurologic disorders.
This clinic optimizes function through the use of bracing and orthotics. Examples of diagnoses seen in this clinic include:

  • Arthritis joint pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Hand injuries/deformities
  • Ligament tears
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Foot drop
  • Neuromuscular disease with focal muscle weakness
Dr. Ranita Manocha MD MSc FRCPC (PM&R), SCNC (EMG)

Dr. Manocha joined the Department of Clinical Neurosciences in 2018 after graduating from the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), Western University in London, Ontario following completion of her medical degree at the University of British Columbia.

As a member of the Clinician Investigator Program during her Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Ranita completed her Masters in Science in Medical Biophysics at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre at St. Joseph Hospital. Her thesis analyzed the biomechanics of exercises and bracing in the treatment of lateral collateral ligament injuries of the elbow.
