Walk for Angels 2022

The Canadian Angelman Syndrome Society

The Walk for Angels is a 5K Walk/Run to raise awareness to Angelman syndrome and to raise money for CASS. The Walk for Angels was first started in 2016 in Edmonton AB by a mom of a child with Angelman syndrome. She took the Walk for Angels national in 2017 and she has since then been working with other Angelman families across Canada to raise awareness of AS in their communities. The walk has spread to areas such as Elkford BC, Winnipeg MB, New Market ON and Campbell River BC. In total the Walk for Angels has raised over $200,000 over the past 6 years.

The Walk for Angels is the largest fundraiser for The Canadian Angelman Syndrome Society (CASS). All proceeds of the walk go directly to support Angelman Families in Canada through our Family Fund, AS Clinics, Ambassador Program and our Biennial Conference and many ore CASS Initiatives. Last year CASS donated over $100,000 to Canadian Angelman families by providing them with AAC devices, Micah Tricycles, Safety Sleeper Beds, Therapy Sessions and more.

CASS is working on opening Angelman Clinics in each province across Canada to help provide the support that Angelman families need. CASS continues to grow and find ways to support Angelman families in Canada.

The Canadian Angelman Syndrome is committed to their mission of “Keeping Families Strong.”
