Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that these accessories do not meet Canada’s Playpens Regulations. Specifically:

  • If the bassinet structural support bars are not in place and fully assembled in accordance with the manufacturer instructions, and if an unattended infant is placed cross-wise on the bassinet without the bassinet structural support bars in place, an uneven sleeping surface may be created posing a potential risk of injury or death due to suffocation.
  • If a child is left unattended in the bassinet or playard portion of the playard while the change table accessory is installed, contrary to the manufacturer instructions, a child could attempt to lift the change table accessory posing a potential risk of injury or death due to entrapment.

As of November 15, 2022, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries related to the affected products in Canada.
