Note that AADL requires wheelchair providers to collect the patient portion of the cost-share benefit (up to $500.00 per family per year July 1 to June 30) on the date of assessment. AADL then requires wheelchair providers to file the claim to AADL based on the date of service when the wheelchair is delivered about 4 weeks after the date of assessment. AADL updates your cost-share status based on the date of delivery – not the date of assessment.
