Colleen Parsons, Certified Exercise Physiologist
Masters in Health and Sport Psychology
Colleen is a professional fitness and nutrition coach with extensive experience helping people achieve a healthier and more active lifestyle with custom-designed programs – while also improving outcomes of treatment for those with chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis.
Colleen is recognized as an exceptional leader, educator and mentor in the fitness community. As Director, Health and Wellness Programs and Services, University of Calgary, she led design, development and programming for students, staff, faculty and members of the community for almost 20 years.
She earned her bachelor degrees in Physical Education (Athletic Training and Conditioning, 1986) and Science (Foods and Nutrition, 1995) from the University of Alberta and her Masters in Kinesiology (Health and Sport Psychology, 2005) from the University of Calgary. She holds a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Nutrition, Sports Nutrition from the International Olympic Committee (2012) and is a former marathoner (14 finishes) and Ironman triathlete (6 finishes).
