Philips is launching in the U.S. its new Lumify ultraportable smartphone or tablet powered ultrasound system. The system includes a couple of transducers (sold separately) that plug directly into the USB port of a compatible smartphone or tablet. The matching Lumify app running on the mobile device is then used to select and adjust various settings and to perform the exam.
The system lets the clinician select the preferred size and features of the mobile device, using its power to interact with the transducer and visualize the exam.
Introducing Lumify, an ultrasound tool connecting patients and doctors. Lumify combines the exceptional quality of Philips imaging technology with the mobility and connectivity of a compatible smart device. Simply download the app, connect the Lumify transducer to your tablet, and start imaging. With quick, easy access to high-quality imaging—delivered through a simple, intuitive user interface—you can arrive at a confident treatment plan. Connect with Philips Healthcare on Youtube.
