2020 CPAA Calgary programs for kids are waiting for you
We are thrilled to have two fantastic programs available for children in Calgary. Through our Swim Without Limits program, kids get the opportunity to swim with a volunteer learning basic skills in the water, all while having fun with friends. In our Dance Without Limits program, kids aged 6-12 yrs will get a boost of confidence as they perform like true ballerinas.

The Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta (CPAA) offers programs to people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities that provide essential social interaction and healthy activities in nurturing environments. We believe that sport, recreation and leisure activities foster a balance between mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. We have developed and adapted all of our programs to:
- Increase social interaction and encourage friendships
- Create opportunities for meaningful community participation and community building
- Promote positive self-esteem and self-confidence
- Foster self-sufficiency
- Foster a sense of belonging and an enhanced quality of life
- Improve emotional well-being and reduce stress
- Develop sport and recreation skills to encourage lifelong participation
- Encourage exploration of new activities
Registration in our programs is open to persons with cerebral palsy or other disabilities who are clients of our association. Becoming a client is free and you can complete a Client Intake Form at any time. Once this form is complete you can register for any of our Calgary programs.

| Massage Therapy – in partnership with the Mount Royal second year Massage Therapy Program |
| All massages are over the clothes and can be done while sitting in a chair, or the participant can lie on a massage table. Massages are available to clients of the CPAA and their caregivers.

| Calgary Meet Up Group (CMUG) Monthly Membership – January 2020 (Adults 18 & over) |
| This group is for adults with cerebral palsy and other disabilities who wish to develop a social network and explore the community in a group setting. The group provides a private forum to seek advice as well as to develop strong bonds with others who have common interests. The group is client run, with the CPAA providing support where needed.
A CMUG membership is required for all participants. To register, please RSVP to our Social Inclusion Manager at 403-219-1567 or email the Friday before each event. Time: Tuesdays usually between 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm COST $5.00 |

| Members develop a social network and explore the community in a group setting. A CMUG membership is required for all participants.

| Participants plan, grow, maintain and harvest gardens in our indoor and outdoor classroom. This year-round program provides benefits for participants’ physical, mental and social health.
